Medical Ear Piercing

If you are looking for a safe place to get your child’s ears pierced we are here for you.

Dr. Town uses medical-grade sterile plastic earrings to avoid allergic reactions or infections.

The medical grade earrings are specially made to facilitate air circulation and allow for faster healing.

The total cost is $97 and includes the procedure, the earrings and the aftercare wipes.

You can choose to add on topical EMLA cream to help numb the ear lobes for $15

I recommend waiting until at least three months of age. This gives the earlobes time to grow and develop.
Dr. Town uses a marking pen and ensures that everyone is happy with the placement before piercing.
Ideally 4-6 weeks before changing out the earrings. The piercing studs are slightly thicker and as the piercing heals it will contract slightly.
You will be sent home with sterile wipes to use on the earlobes for the first couple of weeks. Always wash your hands before touching the earlobes/earrings.
Any time the skin is broken, there is a risk of infection. We use sterile materials to reduce this risk but if you notice soreness, redness or pus - see your physician within 24 hours.
